Popular reality TV couple Christina and Tarek El Moussa were embroiled in a bitter social media feud over the past week. After much back and forth though, it seems that the 35-year-old Flip or Flop star finally made peace with his estranged wife and also won his fans' affection in one swift move.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, the father-of-two shared a heartwarming picture of his two children - Taylor, 6, and Brayden, 20 months – to wish his ex a "Happy Mother's Day".
He wrote, "I'm a day late and a dollar short... but... I want to wish Christina a happy Mother's Day [sic] Tay and Bray love her to the moon and back!"
If the ex-couple's recent Instagram posts are any proof, the touching Mother's Day wishes appeared to be Tarek's way of making amends for seemingly fuelling a feud online.
No sooner had he shared the picture, his fans bombarded him with adorable comments praising the house flipper for taking the high road when it comes to their personal life amid their recent split.
"Class act Tarek!" one fan commented. "The kids will see this one day..."
While another Instagram user seized the moment to appreciate the divorcing couple for putting their family first. "What great examples you two are too so many. This is the way it should be when things like this happen," the user shared.
As the flurry of comments continued, on fan couldn't help hoping that the El Moussas would sort out their difference and get back together.
"I still think the two of you will eventually find your way back to each other. I don't believe for a second that whatever made you split can't be mended. You both are great examples for your children..." the fan wrote.
This comes after Tarek took a jibe at his ex wife with a picture post alluding to their massive fight – which ultimately led to their split. The post has since been deleted.
Christina shot back with a subtle message explaining that there's no time for 'b******t".
However, the counterattack came from the reality star in the form of another picture post as he cryptically wrote how he got "knocked down".
"Like life... when you get knocked down you get back up!!! I'd say I went down pretty hard on this one.... but... I'm used to it. dope a** shot!!" he shared.
The real-life Flip or Flop couple, who have been married for seven years, called it quits last December. Despite the split, the TV stars have continued to work together and co-parent their two children.
