Deepak Chopra's Epstein Denial Shaken by Ex-Fan's Account of Creepy Invitation When She Was Only 16
The allegations are made by Sevda Rubens, an Iranian-American artist and entrepreneur.

Spiritual guru Deepak Chopra finally broke his silence on his long-term association with late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Chopra, in a recent post on X, denied any wrongdoing following the release of newly unsealed Jeffrey Epstein records. However, his statement has come under a wider lens after a former fan alleged an unsettling encounter with the spiritual author when she was a minor.
The claim has raised questions about the presence of 'spiritual gurus' and their association with people such as Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, as well as their alleged involvement in their affairs.
What Does Epstein Records Say About Chopra?
In their latest release batch, the US Department of Justice and the House Oversight Committee unsealed more than three million pages of material tied to Jeffrey Epstein's estate and federal investigations.
According to reports, Chopra's name appears more than 3,000 times across emails, contact logs, and scheduling records dating from 2016 to 2019.

The records indicate that Chopra met with Epstein at least a dozen times after Epstein's 2008 conviction for soliciting prostitution from a minor. The interactions included dinners at Epstein's New York residence, meditation-related discussions, and meetings described in emails as related to funding or alternative health projects.
In some correspondence, Epstein referenced hosting gatherings attended by other public figures, including Woody Allen.

Several email exchanges circulated widely online after the document release. In March 2017, an exchange between Chopra and Epstein included remarks about 'cute girls,' language Chopra later described as reflecting 'poor judgment in tone.'
Other emails show Chopra requesting discretion in private conversations and responding briefly to updates Epstein shared about legal matters involving third parties.
Chopra's Public Response
Early Thursday, Chopra addressed the resurfaced material in a post on X. He wrote that he was 'deeply saddened by the suffering of the victims' and stated that he was never involved in criminal or exploitative conduct.
I am deeply saddened by the suffering of the victims in this case, and I unequivocally condemn abuse and exploitation in all forms.

I want to be clear: I was never involved in, nor did I participate in, any criminal or exploitative conduct. Any contact I had was limited and...
Chopra said his contact with Epstein was 'limited and unrelated to abusive activity,' adding that he regretted the tone of some emails in light of what is now publicly known.
He did not directly address specific meetings or individual email exchanges beyond acknowledging the criticism.
Viral Allegation From Former Attendee
Hours after Chopra's statement, a reply from Sevda Rubens, an Iranian-American artist and entrepreneur, went viral. Quoting Chopra's post, Rubens alleged that she attended a meditation event hosted by Chopra in Europe when she was 16.
When I was 16 years old, I attended a meditation event hosted by Deepak Chopra in Europe. After the event, I lined up to ask him a question about my spiritual practice. He gave me his number and insisted to meet later that night. I was alarmed and my intuition warned not to go,... https://t.co/Fcapz9UfDe

According to her account, she approached him after the event to ask a question, after which he gave her his phone number and encouraged her to meet later that night.
Rubens wrote that she declined the invitation after feeling alarmed. She did not specify the year or location of the event and has not shared additional documentation. However, within hours, Rubens' post had amassed tens of thousands of likes and more than a million views.
What Is Known So Far
The release files indicate that Chopra had repeated contact with Epstein after his 2008 conviction, as shown in unsealed records. Some emails between the two include language that Chopra has publicly acknowledged as inappropriate in tone.
Meanwhile, Rubens' allegation is a separate incident that came to light when Chopra's name and association with Epstein were recently publicised online. No charges or official investigations currently target Chopra as of writing.
