Borussia Dortmund play host to title rivals Bayern Munich at the Signal-Iduna-Park stadium as they look to close the gap between themselves and the Bundesliga leaders.

Where to Watch Live

Kick-off is set for 5:30pm GMT. Live coverage will be available on BT Sport 1.

Overview

Dortmund have a host of injury problems, with their whole first choice backline out due to injury. Mats Hummels, Lukasz Piszczek, Neven Subotic and Marcel Schmelzer are all out till the new year and manager Jurgen Klopp has to make do with his second choice defenders and full-backs as he looks to pull off a big performance against an impressive Bayern side.

Dortmund will be looking for redemption following back to back defeats at the hands of Arsenal and Wolfsburg before the international break. The Borussians were the better team in both games but failed to take their chances which have proved their Achilles' heel this season in all competitions. Failure to score against Bayern can be fatal and Klopp will be hoping that his goal machine Robert Lewandowski can find his feet without being overawed by the occasion. The Pole has been linked with a move to Munich next summer and will want to put in a good performance to impress his potential suitors.

Guardiola has a host of injury problems himself with Frank Ribery joining the likes of Bastian Schweinsteiger (ankle), Claudio Pizarro (thigh), Xherdan Shaqiri (thigh) and Holger Badstuber (knee) on the sidelines with a broken rib. However, Bayern's strength in depth is admirable and should leave them with enough to win the game. Mario Gotze, who left Dortmund last summer will make his first appearance against his former club since his departure.

What the Managers Say

Jurgen Klopp: "I've picked up 80 per cent of my grey hairs this week. The situation is not great, especially when one is in such a phase with eight games left until Christmas. But we already had a little time to get used to the idea."

Pep Guardiola: "I am convinced that Dortmund will not fear Bayern. They have the best transition play in the world, they have been the Champions League finalists. Their fans, coach and players will not have any fear."
