iOS bug message crashing
iPhone 6 Plus IBTimes UK

For those of you who are convinced that the older and smaller iPhones from Apple were more durable, here's a brand new test that should help verify that claim.

A new video on YouTube, which is embedded below, now compares the iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5, iPhone 4s, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G and iPhone 2G in a drop test. The results are somewhat shocking as almost none of the smartphones survive a full-frontal drop onto their screens.

However, they did just fine in the side-drop test, with each phone getting away with just a scuff or a dent, while some got away scratch free.

The iPhone 3GS, which uses a largely plastic body, almost got away without too much damage, but it is worth noting that it plopped with the screen down, thereby meaning that the result doesn't count as proper survival.

All said and done, users should be warned to never drop an iPhone face-first onto a hard surface. This would leave them with a broken screen, a broken heart and a somewhat lighter wallet.
