With a photo of her lipstick stain on beau Elon Musk's cheeks, actress Amber Heard recently confirmed her new romance with the SpaceX billionaire. Although the confirmation came just three months after she finalised her divorce from ex Johnny Depp, reports claim that the actress took a long time before she finally said yes to Musk.
"Elon has been pursuing Amber... But she wouldn't go out with him for a long time," a source told Us Weekly talking about the couple's blossoming romance and how the 45-year-old billionaire wooed Heard. During his months-long pursuit of the actress, Musk is also rumoured to have gifted one of his high-profile electric cars to Heard.
Following a long pursuit, "she finally gave in," said a source close to the CEO adding, "He even got her a Tesla!"
Earlier this week, the new couple on the block sent rumour mills on overdrive as they made their first public appearance in Australia. Hand-in hand, the lovebirds were spotted strolling through the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, along with two of his children.
As if that wasn't enough proof that they were dating, the Rum Diary actress posted an adorable snap of her enjoying some quality time with Musk at a restaurant later in the evening. "Cheeky" she simply wrote alongside the picture featuring her bright red lipstick stain on Musk's cheek.
If the 31-year-old's father is to be believed, wedding bells might soon be ringing for the new couple, who have been linked with each other since the summer of last year.
"Amber and Elon are both very serious about each other. She would love to get married," David Heard recently told Grazia magazine about his daughter's love-life. "One of the things they want to do is settle down and have a family. They are making plans for that," he added.
Heard and Depp's divorce finally came through on 13 January.
After the two both appeared in the 2013 film Machete Kills, the South-African businessman became infatuated with Heard although they didn't meet at that moment in time, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Musk reportedly tried to set up meetings with the actress, who was at the time married to Depp.
