Erika Kirk continues to find herself at the centre of absurd headlines months after her husband, Charlie Kirk, was assassinated. When Charlie was still alive, Erika also found herself in the news but not to this extent. Back then, she was a support system to her husband and a hands-on mother to their two children. Now that Charlie is no longer around, Erika has taken more responsibilities, and criticisms surrounding her have also grown.

Following Charlie's death, several conspiracy theories circulated online. Some were pushed by Erika's known critic, Candace Owens. Recently, Erika faced backlash for allegedly engaging in an inappropriate conversation with a 15-year-old girl. The text exchanges took place in 2014, when Erika was 26 years old. However, it is important to note that the text exchanges have yet to be verified.

Was Erika Kirk Arrested in Israel?

Shortly after, AI-generated photos and videos of Erika being arrested by the FBI circulated online. Reports claimed that Erika fled to Israel after her name was once again dragged into Charlie's assassination. The mother of two allegedly wanted to live a quieter life in Israel away from scrutiny, but the FBI allegedly arrested her at the airport upon arrival.

Adding fuel to the fire are conspiracy theories promoted by Owens. The latter remains convinced that Erika knew that Charlie would be assassinated on that fateful day in September 2025. On her podcast, Owens revealed that Charlie got into a heated argument via text where he seemingly criticised Israel. Owens also claimed that Erika's assistant, who happens to be the daughter of her longtime best friend, was asked not to attend the event in Utah amid fears for her safety.

Owens claimed that Erika must have warned her best friend, Tracy Martin, that something tragic would take place at the campus while Charlie was giving a speech. Martin then told her daughter, who is Erika's assistant, to skip the entire event.

Erika and Candace Have Something in Common

It cannot be denied that Owens' claims read like a fictional storybook because of their sensational nature. But just like any fictional story, it is important to note that they are not based on verified facts. As of writing, there is no proof that Erika fled the US for Israel amid fears that she will be investigated in Charlie's assassination. It is also not true that Erika was arrested by the FBI following attempts to flee the country.

Owens is a vocal critic of Erika, but it is unclear where their troubled relationship started. Despite their differences, the two women have one thing in common: their admiration for Charlie. On two separate occasions, Erika and Owens talked about Charlie's frequency and his ability to cause lights to flicker whenever he was in the room.

When he was still alive, Owens and Charlie talked about their ability to do astral projections. According to Owens, Charlie was able to turn off street lights every time he would run past them. Erika, on the other hand, revealed that the lights in her hotel room flickered nonstop following Charlie's death, suggesting to her that he was still present.
