Roger Federer vowed to win the Australian Open for the fifth time as he relaxed on Tuesday in a trip to see wild dolphins in Queensland ahead of the Brisbane International tournament.

The 33 year-old Swiss is returning to the event after losing the 2014 final to local hero Lleyton Hewitt and will open this season's campaign on Thursday against Australian wild card John Millman.

Federer's last big title was at Wimbledon in 2012 but the current number two in the world said he was keen to add one to the 17 Grand Slams he already won in his career.

"I would love to win the Australian Open, no doubt to get me really close to world number one plus I would love to win another Grand Slam," he said.
