Where to watch live

Kick-off is at 6pm GMT. Live coverage of the match is available on BT Sport 3

Overview

Fenerbahce and United have already faced each other in the third group stage fixture at Old Trafford in October. It was the Red Devils, who came on top as they scored four goals in their 4-1 win over the Turkish outfit.

Robin van Persie returned to United for the first time since leaving the Premier League giants in the summer of 2015. The Dutchman managed to find his name on the scoresheet as he scored Fenerbahce's only goal in their last defeat in the European competition.

Following their defeat to United, Dick Advocaat has seen his side bounce back from those two defeats by winning the next two fixtures. In the last fixture, they registered a 5-0 comfortable victory over Karabukspor.

United, on the other hand have struggled in the Premier League as they have managed only one win in the league since the end of August. Jose Mourinho will be keen on setting things right in the league, but his immediate focus will be on the upcoming Europa League fixture.

The Red Devils were forced to settle for a goalless draw against Burnley in a fixture that saw United create chances, but were unsuccessful in beating the opposition goalkeeper. And when they managed to beat the keeper, United were denied a goal by the post.

Mourinho will be hoping his side can bounce back from their disappointing draw on Thursday evening in Turkey.

What managers say

Dick Advocaat: "This man proved himself in all countries. If you see how many prizes he has won, that is almost unbelievable. He is not a magician. There are so many good players at United, which is good on one hand and on the other hand it makes it difficult to find the right line-up."

Jose Mourinho: "I don't think Fenerbahce had a bad game. For more than half an hour, they were solid and the game was not easy for us. The fact that Fenerbahce has back to back victories is not a surprise."
