The Flash is all set to give Superman a run for his time bending skills. As if some of those extraordinary powers of the meta-humans on the shows weren't awesome enough, fans will now get to see some cool time-travel action on the show in upcoming episodes.

Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told TV Line, "There's an unexpected, accidental time travel coming up and it is played both for hilarity and darkness. It happens in an episode we're really excited it — the first Weather Wizard episode with Liam McIntyre."

Fans have been waiting for the time travel storyline to unfold ever since it was teased in the last scene of the premiere episode. Hopefully, it will answer several questions like how Dr Wells (Tom Cavanagh) and Reverse Flash confronted each other in the midseason finale - especially after Cavanagh revealed that his character is indeed the Reverse Flash.

The time travel arc might also give a glimpse into the night Barry's mother was killed shedding some light on the mystery behind her murder. During a panel at the Television Critics Association gathering last week, it was revealed that fans would see the scene from the perspective of Reverse Flash.

The Flash returns from its midseason break on 20 January, 2015 with the new episode 'Revenge of the Rogues.
