Game of Thrones Season 4 Episode 8 titled The Mountain and the Viper has left fans reeling in shock once again.

The ferocious fight between Red Viper aka Prince Oberyn and Gregor Clegan aka the Mountain added another controversial moment in HBO's popular fantasy series.

The shocking death of Oberyn in the GOT episode 8 has also decided the sad fate of Tyrion Lannister. Fans are now asking why every character they love is dying on their favourite show.

Oberyn, who was fighting the battle as Tyrion's champion, wanted to avenge his sister's brutal murder by the Mountain and he almost did it by stabbing the cruel Clegan on his chest.

"You raped her. You murdered her. You killed her," Oberyn yelled at the wounded Clegan.

However, the Mountain flipped over and killed the Red Viper in the same manner he killed his sister, gouging his eyes and then exploding his head.

Why couldn't Oberyn kill the Mountain instead of having such an awful death? The scene was so cruel and shocking that fans are still in disbelief and flooding Twitter with their angry reactions.

But this is Game of Thrones and showrunner Dan Weiss won't let fans simply sleep after watching his cliffhanger episodes.
