Two men have been arrested in connection with a shooting at a north London nightclub Reuters

Anti-gang officers have arrested two men in connection with a north London shooting at The Garage nightclub in Islington.

The 28 and 30-year-old, both of whom are from north London, were detained at a petrol station in Craven Park Road, Stamford Hill, north London, on Tuesday (17 December).

Investigators from the Metropolitan Police's Operation Trident are appealing for witnesses after a man was shot in the leg at the club, at Highbury Crescent, shortly before midnight on Monday (15 December).

Officers arriving at the scene discovered that a male had made his own way to a North London hospital having suffered a gunshot wound to the leg.

The injured male is currently in hospital in a stable condition. His injuries are not life threatening.

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident, but has not yet come forward to call Trident (north area) on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
