Geordie Shore star Scotty T apologises after gun arrest
Geordie Shore star Scotty T has apologised after he was arrested in Newcastle for possession of an airgun. The 28-year-old was cautioned by Northumberland Police for what his representative said was a "mindless piece of fun".
"On Monday, 30 May, a 28-year-old man was arrested and given a caution for possession of an air weapon in a public place," a Northumberland Police spokesman said.
The reality TV star later tweeted: "Well that was a horrendous 6 hours".
His representative added: "This was meant to be a mindless piece of fun, but Scott realises how foolish it was and apologises for wasting police time. Scott complied with police and was cautioned and released."
The reality TV personality, whose real name is Scott Timlin, shot to fame in 2012 after Geordie Shore became the guilty pleasure for audiences of MTV. He was crowned Celebrity Big Brother winner earlier this year and has cashed in on his athletic physique by performing for male stripper group Dreamboys.
The incident was not the first time Timlin had a run in with police. He was fined £265 in 2014 for punching Sam Hilson in the head at Rhyl nightclub
