GTA 6 Fans React to Physical Soundtrack Release but Still No Game Disc

Rockstar Games has confirmed a full 34-track physical soundtrack for 'Grand Theft Auto VI' on CD and vinyl, even as fans still face a boxed version of the game that only includes a download code and no disc.

The company has announced 'Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album', a 34-track collection of original music from the upcoming game that will be released on CD and vinyl alongside the game on 19 November.

The announcement has prompted an immediate reaction from fans who have been hoping to own a physical copy of 'GTA 6' itself. Instead, Rockstar is offering physical editions of the soundtrack while the game's boxed version contains a download code rather than a game disc.

Fans Wanted a Physical GTA 6 Disc

The frustration centres on a simple distinction. Fans wanted the game on a disc, not just another piece of physical merchandise.

Rockstar's current plans allow players to buy a physical version of 'GTA 6', but the box does not contain the game itself on disc. Instead, it contains a code that can be redeemed for the digital download. Rockstar says the physical version will be available from 12 November to support pre-loading ahead of the game's 19 November launch.
