Ivanka Trump Caught Picking Her Swimsuit Wedgie While Surfing on Costa Rica Beach

Ivanka Trump has been enjoying another sun-soaked family holiday, this time taking to the waves during a getaway in Costa Rica.

The 44-year-old former White House adviser was photographed surfing on Sunday, 23 August, as she spent time with her family during a tropical break. Images from the outing showed Trump balancing on a soft-top longboard as she attempted to ride the Costa Rican waves.

Dressed in a white long-sleeve surf top and high-cut black bottoms, Trump appeared comfortable on the board for much of the session. She was seen standing up, extending her arms to maintain her balance and appearing to enjoy the experience.

The outing was hardly a first for Trump. Surfing has become a regular feature of her visits to Costa Rica, with the country reportedly becoming one of her favourite destinations for the activity. During a family trip in 2025, she took surfing lessons and was praised by a local instructor for her attitude and developing skills.

This time, however, not every attempt went according to plan.

Surfing Spill Leaves Ivanka in an Awkward Moment

At one point during the session, Trump lost her balance and fell from the board.

The tumble itself appeared relatively harmless, with Trump quickly getting back on her board and continuing to surf. But the fall also resulted in an awkward wardrobe mishap as her swimsuit shifted in the water.

Photographers captured the former presidential adviser adjusting her underwear's wedgie after they had ridden up during the fall.

Despite the embarrassing moment, Trump did not appear particularly fazed. She was later photographed smiling and flashing a shaka hand gesture while enjoying the waves.

Her relaxed reaction was consistent with the rest of the trip, which appeared to centre on spending time outdoors and enjoying family activities.

The Costa Rica getaway also comes after a busy summer for the Trump family, with Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner, continuing to attract attention beyond their private family holidays.

The couple have increasingly faced scrutiny over their proposed luxury development in Albania, a project that has become the focus of major protests in the country.

Kushner and Trump have faced mounting opposition over plans connected to the development of luxury accommodation on Sazan Island and a separate coastal project near the Vjosa-Narta area in southern Albania.

The proposals have prompted the so-called 'Flamingo Revolution', a protest movement named after the birds that use the region's wetlands and coastal areas. Critics have raised concerns about the environmental impact of large-scale development and questions surrounding the approval process.

The controversy has also attracted international attention, including from singer Dua Lipa, who publicly described the protests as 'inspiring'. The British-Albanian star criticised concerns surrounding the potential development of environmentally sensitive areas.

For now, however, Trump appeared to be putting the controversy to one side as she enjoyed a more carefree moment in Costa Rica.

Her surfing tumble may have provided photographers with an awkward snapshot, but the incident did little to dampen the mood of the holiday. After falling from the board and adjusting her swimsuit, Trump simply returned to the water and continued riding the waves.
