Josh Brolin and Kathryn Boyd tied the knot in front of close friends and family members in a romantic wedding ceremony in North Carolina. Guests at the wedding included celebrities such as Matt Damon, Bradley Cooper, James Brolin – Josh's father – and wife Barbra Streisand.

According to Us Weekly, the couple got married at Cashiers, North Carolina, on Saturday (24 September). The couple were first reported to be dating in February 2014 when they were spotted kissing while on a vacation in Rome. In May 2015, The Milk actor proposed marriage to his former assistant and shortly afterwards the couple headed for Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, to celebrate their big moment.

"They were kissing each other a lot, had their arms around each other [at dinner]," an eyewitness at that time told the website, adding that the pair were "super affectionate all night".

The then bride-to-be flaunted her engagement ring when she attended the 2015 Cannes Film Festival. The No Country For Old Men actor during an interview with E! News earlier in the month admitted that he was completely engrossed in preparing for the wedding.

"I'm the guy who has to force himself to back off! I'm such a control freak and I want to control everything," the 48-year-old actor said. "It's not even that I want to control it—I just want to be in the middle of it. I want to be in the nucleus of it because that's the fun part. That's the nectar," he added.

When Brolin appeared on NBC's Today show, he joked about picking out the doilies for the wedding. "Well, not doilies. I don't go that far. But I like it, she doesn't have to draw me into this thing, I like it," he said.

Previously, Brolin was married to Diane Lane, whom he split from in November 2013. This is the third marriage for the actor, who shares two children – son Trevor, 28, and daughter Eden, 22 – with his first wife Alice Adair.
