Kate Middleton is expecting her second child with Prince William, it has been officially confirmed.

Rumours regarding the Duchess of Cambridge's second pregnancy have been doing the rounds since she gave birth to first child, Prince George, on 22 July last year.

IBTimes UK has compiled the most popular rumours surrounding the royal pregnancy.

OK! Magazine, May

The gossip magazine claimed that Kate Middleton is pregnant with twin girls, less than a year after the birth of Prince George.

The magazine then said that the second pregnancy was a "dream come true" for the couple.

InTouch, June

The tabloid came up with claims that the Duchess was expecting a baby boy and published photos of the 32-year-old royal in an unflattering dress sporting a bit of a bump.

New Idea magazine, July

Kate's childhood friend Jessica Hay told the Australian publication that she is expecting her second child with Prince William. Hay had famously predicted her first pregnancy in November 2012 just weeks before the official announcement.

However, a Kensington Palace spokesperson denied the reports and told ET Canada: "The duchess has not spoken to Jessica Hay for very many years. She is not in contact with her at all."

The tabloid shocked royal fans with report that Kate suffered a miscarriage and lost her second baby earlier that month. The magazine went on to claim that the couple are "supporting each other through this upsetting ordeal."
