Dale Bolinger
Dale Bolinger accused of attempting to meet a child under the age of 16.

A Kent nurse planned to kill and then eat a 14-year-old girl he groomed online, a court has heard.

Dale Bolinger allegedly met the Mexican girl, called Eva, on a website and suggested they meet at Ashford International Station on 18 September 2012.

Canterbury Crown Court was told that Bolinger bought an axe from Homebase in Broadstairs the day before he was due to meet Eva.

The jury also heard that, during the grooming stage, Bolinger described to Eva the sexual acts he would perform before and after her death.

Prosecutor Martin Yale said: "He said he would murder her with an axe or a cleaver and then he would eat her."

Bolinger allegedly told the girl: "The idea of making love and then eating you is a very great turn on. I have been called a very generous lover and I would be very generous to you before I prepped you for the table."

Eva, whose full identity has never been known, did not arrive at Ashford station on the day of the proposed meeting, and Bolinger went home.

However the nurse was eventually arrested after an FBI investigation traced his email to the online Dark Fetish Network, where he discussed beheading and eating women for sexual gratification.

Graphic references to sex abuse

In addition, the court was told Kent Police had a record of Bolinger's online conversations, which made graphic reference to sexual abuse, murder and cannibalism of women and children including babies.

Bolinger, formerly of Davidson Road, Canterbury, denies attempting to meet a child under the age of 16 after sexual grooming. He insists he only went to the station because he feared for Eva's safety.

The trial continues.
