Kenya Moore Receiving $600,000 for Season 6 of Real Housewives of Atlanta

Kenya Moore is set to return for the sixth season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta after her pay was increased to $600,000(£393,000).

The 42-year-old reality star and former beauty queen will be making a comeback after garnering a solid following of fans, Us Weekly magazine reports.

She could also potentially earn thousands more with bonuses based on ratings.

"Kenya is very happy to be back!" a source told the publication.

"NeNe [Leakes], Kim [Zolciak] and Kandi [Burruss] make $800,000 a season but they can make more for doing certain special things, like Kim taking off her wig," another source previously told Us.

Moore's payrise will put her way ahead of Phaedra Parks and Porsha Williams, who are said to earn $50,000 per season.

Outspoken Moore joined the cast of Bravo's hit reality show in 2012 and quickly got on the wrong side of Leakes and Cynthia Bailey.

"She was a Miss America? How many years ago was that?" Leakes asked during an episode last season. "This is 2012."

Moore won the 1993 Miss Michigan USA title and went on to win Miss USA that same year.
