Kristin Cabot Finally Resigns Amid Reports Her Husband Was in Japan During Coldplay Scandal
The affair, caught on video, rocked their marriage, prompting Astronomer to appoint an interim CEO

Kristin Cabot has reportedly resigned from her position at Astronomer, a development that coincides with reports of her husband's presence in Japan during the recent Coldplay scandal.
The resignation follows the widespread circulation of a video involving Cabot and Astronomer CEO Andy Byron, which prompted an internal investigation into workplace conduct.
The Concert Incident
The controversy started when Kristin Cabot, Chief People Officer at Astronomer, and CEO Andy Byron were filmed kissing at Gillette Stadium, a moment that became publicly visible on the Coldplay concert's jumbotron.
Their public display quickly garnered widespread attention online, prompting significant commentary and criticism directed at the company's leadership.

Byron resigned shortly after the incident, reportedly due to significant internal pressure. Cabot was subsequently placed on administrative leave while an internal investigation proceeded, making her continued employment at Astronomer unclear.
Andrew Cabot Abroad: The Initial Revelation
Andrew Cabot, CEO of Privateer Rum, was on an international business trip when his wife, Kristin Cabot, was discovered in an intimate moment at a Coldplay concert. This scandal also blindsided the couple's relatives, according to a source close to the situation who spoke to The Post.
According to the tipster, Andrew Cabot, the founder of the Massachusetts-based high-end liquor producer, was on a professional visit to Japan. Much to his chagrin, he found himself and his relatives engulfed in a social media uproar upon his return.
'[Andrew] was in Asia for a few weeks and returned on Saturday, so he was gone while all this went down,' said the source, who chose to remain anonymous to discuss the matter. 'Poor guy.'
Marital Troubles Come to Light
Kristin and Andrew Cabot married following her divorce in 2022. According to the source, there was little sign of marital strife before the Coldplay concert video spread widely online.
'The family is now saying they have been having marriage troubles for several months and were discussing separating — which I find interesting since as of a month ago they were saying how in love they are,' the source said.

Kristin Cabot's Departure from Astronomer
With the situation at home spiralling, attention has now turned to Kristin Cabot's professional life, culminating in her resignation from her role at Astronomer.
Kristin Cabot has stepped down from her human resources leadership role at Astronomer following the Coldplay controversy, TMZ has learned. A representative for Astronomer confirmed to TMZ, 'Kristin Cabot is no longer with Astronomer -- she's resigned.'
Kristin Cabot's LinkedIn account, which is now deleted, indicated her role as an "advisory board member" at Privateer Rum, a position she held since September 2020.
Co-Worker's Exit and Workplace Investigation
Kristin's resignation closely follows that of her lover, Andy Byron, who departed as Astronomer's CEO on Saturday. Both left abruptly after being seen getting intimate at a Coldplay concert, which triggered an internal investigation into workplace behaviour.
As stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met.

An exclusive video, acquired by TMZ and predating the infamous incident, showed the two kissing and cuddling during the concert – making matters more complicated since Andy is married to Megan Kerrigan Byron, who has since dropped her husband's last name from her social media.
The Post first broke the news that Kristin Cabot, formerly Kristin Stanek, was married to Andrew Cabot. Additionally, the paper stated that the couple had acquired a $2.2 million (£1.63 million) mansion in Rye, New Hampshire, a mere five months before the scandal unfolded.
A May 2024 Facebook post showed the Cabots, complete with smiles and wedding rings, alongside two young children. Andrew Cabot belongs to one of Boston's most established and affluent families. The Cabots are counted among the original 'Boston Brahmin' clans, who held sway over New England for centuries.
Astronomer Moves Forward: New Leadership
Even as Kristin and Andy's private lives unravel, Astronomer maintains it's business as usual, appointing Pete DeJoy as interim CEO. He's pledged to navigate the scandal and emerge stronger.

It's clear that if Pete wants to steady the company, he'll need to appoint a new head of HR... preferably one who isn't flouting major workplace ethics.
