Spain hosted a royal wedding on 29 May as Lady Charlotte Wellesley, the daughter of the 9th Duke of Wellington, exchanged vows with New York-based businessman Alejandro Santo Domingo at the Church of Incarnation in Granada city, located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains. The bride walked down the aisle in a structured off-shoulder white gown and paired it with olive green ankle-strapped heels.

Below is the style report from the wedding of the daughter of the Duke of Wellington:

A Spain wedding in a classic cream dress

Lady Charlotte was all smiles as she made her way up the stairs of the church in a cream-hued Emilia Wickstead wedding gown and dramatic train.

Unlike the heavy silhouette of her dress, her polka-dot lace veil delicately covered her face before falling as part of the long train. With her well-coiffed hair and minimal jewellery, the daughter of Charles Wellesley and descendant of Queen Victoria made a striking picture as she walked beside her father.

Blushing bride in green

Interestingly, the royal bride decided to add a dash of colour to her wedding look. She paired her classic cream gown with olive green strap heels. While walking down the aisle, Lady Charlotte was carrying an artfully decorated bouquet that complemented her overall looks.

Fashion fraternity meets royalty

The ceremony was graced by royalty, fashion icons and other well-known faces such as Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall and former King of Spain Juan Carlos I. Duchess of Cornwall looked elegant as she attended the nuptials wearing a tiered skirt and white chiffon top. Czech supermodel Eva Herzigová and former model Jemma Kidd were also present at the glamorous event. Also in attendance were singer James Blunt and wife Sofia Wellesley, who happens to be Lady Charlotte's cousin.
