Lady Gaga hugs 'rockstar' Selena Gomez after crying to Disney alumna's emotional AMAs speech

Selena Gomez's moving speech at the 2016 AMAs stage had all her fans and well-wishers in tears including singer Lady Gaga. The Perfect Illusion hitmaker could not help but get emotional as she cheered a teary-eyed Gomez from the audience. Gaga later took to Instagram and shared an adorable photo with Gomez, who ended her public hiatus on Sunday with a bang.

In the picture shared by the 30-year-old songstress, Gaga is seen embracing The Heart Wants What It Wants singer, who in turn reciprocates with a sweet smile.

"So dope I got to hang with the biggest rockstar of the night," Gaga captioned the image. She continued to share some good thoughts about the 24-year-old and hailed other stars who stole the limelight on 20 November.

"Ya, know besides Sting and Green Day ...the girl with the biggest prize of all a BIG Heart that she shares with the world," the Poker Face singer wrote alluding to Gomez's powerful message while accepting the award for favourite pop/rock female artist of the year.

Dressed in a red Prada gown, the Hands To Myself singer owned the AMAs stage during the night. With her heartfelt words, the Disney alumna poured her heart out and thanked fans and well-wishers for their loyalty and love.

"I have to say thank you so much to my fans, because you guys are so damn loyal, and I don't know what I did to deserve you. But if you are broken, you do not have to stay broken. That's one thing you should know about me: I care about people. And this is for you," Gomez said concluding her AMAs speech.
