Nexus 5
The next Nexus iteration is said to be manufactured either by LG or Huawei Google

The Nexus 5, the latest version of Google's high-end smartphone, has scored highly in AnTuTu's benchmark tests beating the likes of Samsung Galaxy S6.

According to a WCCFTech report, the LG-made phone obtained a whopping 85,530 points, compared to Galaxy S6's 68,157 and 52,665 in the regular and power saving modes, respectively.

Nexus 5 also bested other prominent high-performing rivals such as the Meizu MX4 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4, both of which attained about 50,000 points each.

The high benchmark scores for Nexus 5 suggests the smartphone runs on an advanced next-gen processor. However, details have yet to emerge.

Rumour mills have hinted at a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor.

Earlier, there have been reports about Google planning to launch two new Nexus handsets, with Huawei and LG as the hardware partners. The leaked AnTuTu tests suggest it's a LG-made phone.
