Little Mix's Jesy Nelson threatens to block Instagram body shamers

Pop star is taking a non-nonsense approach to trolls on social media from now on.

Singer Jesy Nelson has warned that she will be blocking anyone leaving nasty comments on her Instagram accounts.

The 22-year-old Little Mix star wrote: "Anything negative that gets written on my wall will get a block. If you don't like it don't look at my Instagram otherwise yes you will get a block [sic]".

Her statement came after she uploaded a clip of her dancing with her TOWIE boyfriend Chris Clark, which she captioned: "Not long now till I get to dance like I'm at a school disco to drake with this one".

While the post received more than 540,000 likes in just a day along with many gushing comments from her adoring fans, there were the odd less than favourable remarks.

One read: "Dude has bad hair, I'm sorry Jesy, I love you, and Little mix, but I don't like that guy's hair."

Whether that was behind Jesy's decision for the future running of her online profile is unclear.

Her 2.7 million followers were quick to back her however, writing: "Ignore the haters! They are just jealous."

While another wrote: "Exactly how I deal with negative people coz ain't nobody got time for that! [sic]."

It's not the first time that Essex-born Jesy has come up against cyberbullying.

She was seen breaking down in tears over jibes on Twitter about her weight when competing on The X Factor back in 2011.

Perrie Edwards' devastated bandmate told the camera: "People are writing a few nasty comments and it has just got to me a little bit. When you've got your own insecurities and then when people go and tell you and write them on websites for everyone to see it just makes you feel really rubbish.

"Being in a girl group with three beautiful girls who are a lot slimmer and smaller than me… and obviously, I know I'm a lot bigger. I find it really hard when people publicise it on Twitter."

After working hard to transform her body, Little Mix were recently accused of digitally slimming down the curvy beauty's figure in the promo for their track Touch.
