Vanessa Keller, Nick Howson and Adrian Back preview Liverpool and the January transfer window.

With the January transfer window fast approaching we decided that it was time to discuss the potential comings and goings at a number of Premier League clubs. We begin by assessing Liverpool, a club that is in desperate need of a striker after a difficult start to the season under new manager Brendan Rodgers.

Liverpool currently find themselves languishing in 11th place after a disappointing start that has seem them pick up just 19 points from their opening 15 Premier League games.

With just one fit senior striker currently available, until Fabio Borini returns from injury, Rodgers has made it clear that he needs more attacking options and that a striker is a necessity.

One man readily linked with a move to Liverpool is current Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge. The England international is out-of-favour at Stamford Bridge and may be convinced that he can find more regular football at Anfield.

The Reds have also been linked with the likes of Theo Walcott, Fernando Llorente and Darren Bent, but just who is the most likely to end up at Liverpool? In this video, find out what the IBTimesUK sports desk believe will happen in January.
