  • Maddison Steiner's Breast Implant Surgery Goes Wrong After Size Upgrade, Now Faces Corrective Procedure
  • Canadian influencer speaks out on cosmetic surgery regret and the emotional toll of a 'botched' operation

Canadian influencer Maddison Steiner has opened up about the painful aftermath of her recent breast implant procedure, which she now describes as 'botched'. The 25-year-old, based in Toronto, underwent surgery earlier this year to increase the size of her implants but was left in physical pain and emotional distress. She is now preparing for corrective surgery.

Steiner had hoped that going larger would give her a confidence boost she felt her previous implants had not provided. Instead, she found herself watching in shock as one of the new implants visibly slid into her armpit just days into recovery.

A Cosmetic Fix Gone Painfully Wrong

The surgery was expected to be routine, an implant exchange for a larger size. But within days, Steiner noticed something was off. As she lay in bed recovering, she physically felt the implant shift out of place.

'I saw my implant slide into my armpit,' she told Us Weekly, recalling the moment she realised the situation had become serious.

Steiner experienced swelling, bruising and ongoing discomfort. Her surgeon later confirmed that the pocket created during surgery had been cut too wide, which allowed the implant to move laterally. She believes the complication could have been avoided with more precise surgical planning.

'I thought I needed more to feel better, but now I wish I hadn't,' she said. Her honesty resonated with thousands of followers, many of whom praised her vulnerability and transparency.

When Bigger Isn't Better

Steiner first had breast implants in 2023 but was unhappy with the size, feeling they were too small for her frame. 'I hated how small they were. I just didn't feel like myself,' she shared in a now-viral Instagram Story.

The second surgery, however, brought more problems. According to Daily Mail Australia, her implant shifted due to the implant pocket being cut too aggressively. This technical issue will now require another full procedure to correct.

Steiner shared images of her post-surgical condition, including visible bruising and asymmetry, with her 160,000 followers on Instagram. The post received a wave of supportive messages, along with personal stories from others who faced similar cosmetic surgery complications.

A Lesson She Didn't Ask For

What began as a cosmetic enhancement has turned into a broader personal reckoning for Steiner. The influencer says she felt pressure to meet unrealistic beauty standards, especially in the online space where perfection often dominates feeds.

'I felt like I needed to go bigger to feel worthy,' she admitted. 'But the truth is, I was just fine before.'

The experience has prompted her to rethink her content and what she shares online. While she is still documenting her recovery, Steiner is shifting away from beauty-focused content toward a more self-care-oriented approach.

'This is going to be a process,' she wrote in a recent post. 'But I'm trying to stay grateful for what I've learned through it.'

Where It Goes From Here

Steiner has confirmed that she will undergo revision surgery later this year to address the complications. In the meantime, she is focusing on physical and emotional healing.

'If I can stop one person from rushing into something like this, then maybe it was worth sharing,' she added.

She also said she plans to focus more on wellness, healing and self-acceptance, a direction warmly welcomed by her followers. While recovery is still ongoing, Steiner says she is not giving up. She is growing through it.
