Oasis Tease Huge 2027 Return as Dozens of Drones Light Up Manchester Sky in Jaw-Dropping Display

Iconic English band delighted fans with a potential return to the stage in 2027 in a spectacular fashion, involving dozens of drones. The Manchester sky was lit up as drones formed the band's name, the date '14-09-26' and the time '4PM BST.' The date and time appear to suggest that a full announcement is coming on Monday.

The dazzling display was staged above the Etihad Stadium in Manchester. People who witnessed the drone light show, along with those who saw it on social media, believe that a full list of the tour dates will be announced on 14 September 2026.

Social Media Breadcrumbs

The band has been teasing fans for more than a week. The first breadcrumb appeared on 3 September 2026. The video, posted on Oasis' social media accounts, features two young boys in a chip shop.

The video didn't have any caption but Liam, one half of the Gallagher brothers who front the band, commented, 'LET'S GO' along with a fire emoji. Many took the video as a tease that the band is going on tour.

The content may have been cryptic, but eagle-eyed fans noted that the posters appeared to feature the coordinates of Celtic Park in Glasgow. Could it be one of the venues for the tour? Fans think so.

A second social media tease shows two boys, one playing with a football and the other marking a tally of 11 on a wall. Many note that the red bricks that make up the wall, as well as the house in the background, are common in Manchester. Oasis fans believe it is a clue that Oasis will be playing at Etihad Stadium in Manchester.

Going Global

But the breadcrumbs aren't just in the UK. One video featured German commentary on the radio, while another shows a man playing the guitar, with a poster of the famous Catalan painter and sculptor Joan Miró on the back wall. Fans said these are teases for shows in Munich, Germany and Barcelona, Spain.

Fans believe the other videos point to shows in Amsterdam, the Netherlands; Paris, France; and Rome, Italy. The latest video hints at Gillette Stadium in Boston, at least that's what many fans said. It should be noted that a few social media users are also guessing Ireland.

The anticipated Monday announcement couldn't come at a better time, as the band's documentary has just been released in cinemas. Titled 'Oasis: Don't Look Back in Anger,' the film had its world premiere at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival on 5 September 2026, although it was screened out of competition.

Steven Knight, the creator of 'Peaky Blinders', wrote the rockumentary. Acclaimed music documentary duo Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace directed the film.

The Oasis Live '25 Tour was a massive success. It marked the band's first performances on stage since their split in 2009 following years of tension between brothers Noel and Liam. The Gallaghers and the rest of the band played 41 shows across the world during the tour.

The Oasis drone light display took place around 11 p.m. on Thursday night. It began as concertgoers left the neighbouring Co-op Live arena after watching the rock band Evanescence.
