Madison Beer has officially entered Fortnite as part of the game's Icon Series, but the long-awaited collaboration has not received an entirely warm welcome. While fans have celebrated seeing the singer represented in the game, others have focused on her digital likeness, with some claiming the new skin looks more like Kim Kardashian than Beer herself.

The collaboration launched on 24 September and features two Madison Beer Outfits, additional cosmetics, emotes and Jam Tracks inspired by her music and career. Beer has been a longtime Fortnite player and had publicly asked Epic Games to give her an Icon Series skin earlier this year.

Fans Say New Skin Looks Like Kim Kardashian

The biggest discussion surrounding the new skin has centred on its face. Shortly after images of the Outfit appeared online, Fortnite players began comparing the character to Kim Kardashian, who also has an official Fortnite Icon Series Outfit.

One Reddit post showing the Madison Beer skin received hundreds of upvotes, with users saying it appeared as though Kim's face had been reused for the new character. Others joked that the singer and reality star had been given similar digital features.

Another player bluntly asked whether the skin was a 'Kim re-skin,' while other commenters agreed that the facial design looked unusually similar to Kardashian.

The comparisons, however, are fan opinions rather than evidence that Epic Games actually reused Kardashian's model. There has been no indication that the company deliberately designed the Madison Beer Outfit to resemble Kardashian.

Some Players Say It Doesn't Look Like Madison Beer

The Kardashian comparisons are part of a broader complaint from some Fortnite players who simply do not think the character captures Beer's appearance particularly well.

Comments on social media included reactions such as 'that's not Madison' and complaints that the digital face looked noticeably different from the singer. Some players also compared the skin to other fictional characters, including Lara Croft and Leon Kennedy.

Beer's Fortnite Skin Has Plenty of Personal Details

Despite the criticism, the collaboration goes well beyond simply adding Beer's face to Fortnite.

The Icon Series collection includes the Make You Mine Madison Outfit, inspired by her visualiser look, and the Satin Angel Madison Outfit, based on the custom outfit she wore at the 2025 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Her tour choreography and music also inspired new emotes and Jam Tracks.

The collection even includes her cats as Back Bling, giving longtime fans another personal connection to the collaboration.

The Singer Had Asked Fortnite for the Skin Herself

What makes the collaboration particularly notable is that Beer had openly campaigned for her own Fortnite skin.

Earlier this year, she publicly asked Epic Games to add her to the game, while also describing herself as a longtime Fortnite player. Months later, that request became reality with a full Icon Series collection and a dedicated Madison Beer Icon Cup.

That history has made the backlash somewhat ironic. Beer clearly wanted to become part of Fortnite, and she now has the collaboration she had been asking for, even if some players think Epic's digital version of her looks suspiciously like someone else.

For now, the Kim Kardashian comparisons remain part of the online reaction rather than a confirmed design issue. The Madison Beer collaboration nevertheless gives Fortnite another celebrity crossover for players to debate, collect and, inevitably, turn into memes.
