Looks like Batman won't be making an appearance at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas anytime soon.

Batman vs Superman star Ben Affleck was recently banned for life from playing blackjack at the casino because, as per security, the actor was counting cards.

According to TMZ, the security caught the actor counting cards while playing the game at the casino. Sources stated that Affleck was playing blackjack at a high rollers' table when security approached and deemed him an "advantaged player" who was no longer allowed to play blackjack at the Hard Rock.

"We're told security had spotted Affleck counting cards ... a gambling strategy that involves counting card values to decrease betting risk," states the TMZ report.

Reportedly, the security arranged for a car to take the actor back to his hotel. Although counting cards is not technically an illegal practice, it is frowned upon and can get one kicked out of a casino if caught – which is what happened to Affleck.

Affleck was in Vegas earlier this week with wife Jennifer Garner. He reportedly planned the trip as a romantic getaway before his long and hectic filming schedule for Man of Steel 2 takes off in Detroit. Little did he know that the trip would soon take an unromantic turn with the Hollywood star getting a lifetime ban at Hard Rock.

Affleck is a well-known card shark, reports TMZ. Back in 2001, he reportedly amassed $800,000 in blackjack winnings (at the Hard Rock no less) by playing three $20,000 blackjack hands at once.
