Following a bizarre burglary, police in Australia are hunting for a robber who raided a sex doll shop and made off with a buxom life-size doll, named Dorothy and valued at almost $4,500 (£2,500, €3,790).

CCTV from the scene on was stolen in the early hours of Sunday morning (3 December) showed a man stealing the doll from the Sexyland Outlet on South Road, Moorabin, a south-eastern suburb of Melbourne.

The man was filmed wearing stockings over his head, as he entered the store cutting through the gates with bolt cutters. He then used a fire hydrant to smash the window to the rear entrance.

He later emerged from the store with the 168cm doll.

Described by local police as a man with a "solid build", the suspect then fled the scene in a white van.

Kingston Crime Investigation Unit said he was wearing a dark coloured jumper with a red stripe across the chest, dark coloured pants and dark coloured casual shoes with white laces.
