An intoxicated burglar broke into a Manchester office block and stole two laptops GMP

Greater Manchester Police has released footage of a burglary in which an apparently intoxicated offender breaks into an office block, falls up the stairs, swears at the CCTV camera before stealing an Apple Macbook and a Lenovo laptop.

The offence happened at approximately 3am on 28 November when the offender gained access to a shared office block on King Street in the city centre. CCTV footage shows the suspect stumble up the stairs towards one of the offices before forcing his way into the office in order to steal the laptops. Noticing the security camera, he then sticks his middle finger up at it.

Once inside the man picks up an Apple Macbook and a Lenovo Laptop before exiting in the same way that he entered. The offender is described as white, around 6ft tall and between 20 and 30 years old. He was wearing glasses, a grey and black striped bobble hat, a grey coat, blue jeans and dark shoes.

Inspector Phil Spurgeon said: "We're all human and we've had a chuckle at this footage in the office, but ultimately burglary is a serious matter and we'd like the last laugh to be on the offender. "To do that we need to deliver some justice for the victim, and that will possibly need the public's help to identify this man and help us catch him.
