Man City v Swansea

Eastlands
Kick-off: 2000 BST

Last season: N/A

Manchester City have been tipped by many to be amongst the front-runners for this season's title and they will look to get their season off to the best possible start against Premier League new boys, Swansea on Monday night.

Brendan Rogers' side were irresistible in the Championship last season but they will doubtless take heed from Blackpool's failure to stay up whilst playing attractive football.

City have retained the formidable defensive unit that propelled them on last season's third place with the £35m acquisition of Sergio Aguero from Atletico Madrid and should push city rivals United all the way this year.

Swansea captain Gary Monk is doubtful for Monday's game after picking up a foot injury but goalkeeper Michel Vorm should make his debut after signing from FC Utrecht.
