Are Millie Bobby Brown, Maya Hawke Feuding? Here's the 'Brutal' Reason For Absence At Stranger Things Star's Wedding
Millie Bobby Brown's absence from Maya Hawke's wedding has fuelled unverified fan theories about the Stranger Things cast, despite no public confirmation of any divide.

Millie Bobby Brown's absence from co-star Maya Hawke's recent wedding has fuelled renewed online speculation about tensions within the Stranger Things cast, after most of the Netflix show's main actors were seen celebrating the ceremony in New York.
Hawke, who plays Robin Buckley in the sci-fi drama, married singer-songwriter Christian Lee Hutson on 14 February at St George's Episcopal Church in Manhattan, in what US outlets described as an intimate Valentine's Day ceremony attended by close friends, family and colleagues.
Photos posted on social media and in entertainment media showed a mini cast reunion in the pews, but omitted Brown, David Harbour and Noah Schnapp, prompting fans to question why three of the series' best-known stars were not present.
Stranger Things Wedding: Who Attended And Who Did Not
Hawke, 26, has been in a relationship with Hutson for about 3 years after meeting through her music career, with Hutson helping write and record some of her material. According to US entertainment outlets and fan accounts that shared photos from the weekend, her parents, Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman, were among those in attendance at the Manhattan church service.
Other recognisable Stranger Things faces were also seen at the ceremony, leading fans to describe it online as an informal cast reunion. However, three prominent cast members — Brown (who plays Eleven), Harbour (Hopper) and Schnapp (Will Byers) — were absent, according to a social media analysis by fans.
Tabloid reports in the US stated that Harbour was photographed elsewhere in New York at roughly the same time, described as being on a date with an unnamed woman. Neither Harbour nor his representatives have commented publicly on why he did not attend the wedding.
Brown and Schnapp, who are among the show's original child cast members, have also not addressed their absence. Representatives for the actors and for Netflix have not issued any statements on the matter.
Millie Bobby Brown, Stranger Things Cast And Wedding History
The missing names have drawn particular attention because most of the Stranger Things cast were also absent from Brown's own wedding celebrations earlier this year. Brown married Jake Bongiovi, son of musician Jon Bon Jovi, and according to celebrity press reports, held two ceremonies: a small, private event followed by a larger celebration in Italy.
Fans on X, TikTok and Reddit have claimed that only two co-stars — Matthew Modine, who played Dr Martin Brenner, and Schnapp — were seen at Brown's wedding events. Users have suggested that Hawke did not attend Brown's ceremony and that Brown may have later declined Hawke's invitation in what some posts have labelled a 'brutal' response.
These claims are largely based on photographs and social media posts circulating online. There is currently no independent confirmation of the full guest lists for either wedding, and Brown and Hawke have not commented on who was or was not invited.
Rumours Of A Stranger Things Divide
Talk of a possible divide in the Stranger Things ensemble has circulated among sections of the fan base for months, with particular focus on a January episode of Saturday Night Live hosted by Wolfhard. That broadcast featured surprise cameos from McLaughlin and Matarazzo in the opening monologue and in a sketch tied to the series, but Schnapp did not appear, which some viewers interpreted online as a snub. People familiar with the episode later pointed out that Schnapp was in Europe for Milan Fashion Week on the same weekend, and his absence has not been addressed as a dispute by those involved.
Brown has previously spoken warmly about her colleagues, describing the cast as 'a family' in a farewell message shared when Netflix confirmed the fantasy drama would conclude with its fifth season. In that post, she thanked her co-stars and said she would 'forever carry the memories and bonds we created together', language fans have contrasted with more recent speculation over perceived absences.

There have been rumours of a divide in the Stranger Things cast.

Neither Netflix nor representatives for Brown, Hawke, Harbour or Schnapp have responded publicly to the latest fan theories around the weddings and reunion photos. For now, suggestions of any ongoing feud within the Stranger Things group remain based on social media commentary rather than on-the-record statements from the actors themselves.
