Millie Bobby Brown and Maya Hawke worked together in 'Stranger Things' for many years, forming a professional relationship that has recently come under scrutiny following their apparent absence from each other's weddings. Since Hawke was not part of the original cast, there are speculations claiming that Brown is closer to her other co-stars, though this is not unusual in any workplace setting.

Internet sleuths have begun crafting various theories about Brown and Hawke's relationship. Since Hawke was not present at Brown's wedding to Jacob Bongiovi, some have become convinced that a feud is brewing between the two actresses. There have also been reports of an alleged divide on the set of 'Stranger Things', suggesting that the male stars of the show have fallen out with Noah Schnapp.

Wedding Attendance Sparks Speculation

Adding fuel to the speculation is a TikTok video pointing out that Brown and other Stranger Things cast members were absent from Hawke's wedding in New York on Valentine's Day. Photos from St George's Episcopal Church confirmed the attendance of Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Sadie Sink, Kathryn Newton, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalie Dyer, and Sam Nivola. Visibly absent from the Valentine's Day ceremony were Brown, Schnapp, Winona Ryder, and David Harbour.

The TikTok user speculated on the possible reason why Brown skipped the occasion, alleging that Brown might have decided not to attend Hawke's wedding because Hawke didn't attend her nuptials. Photos from Brown and Bongiovi's wedding showed that the only cast members present were Schnapp and Matthew Modine.

The TikTok user also noted that it was unusual not to see Schnapp at Hawke's wedding because the two used to be very close. Additionally, the user suggested that it is possible Brown wasn't invited in the first place, though either scenario would be unfortunate given the co-stars used to be friends.

Fans Offer Alternative Explanations

Several fans commented on the post saying that there are many other possible reasons why Brown didn't attend the wedding. They pointed out that she is a new mother and could be busy tending to her child. Others suggested that Brown might have already committed to an important engagement on the same day.

Some fans also noted that it's not unusual for a bride to limit colleague invitations to her wedding. However, the majority of the 'Stranger Things' cast were present, suggesting they received invites.

Reports of On-Set Divide

Some 'Stranger Things' fans pointed out that Brown and Hawke didn't have many scenes together in the series during Season 3. In Season 4, most of their characters' storylines were also split, with the same expected for Season 5, which means the co-stars might not have had the chance to become as close as they would have liked.

The Tab also noted that there have been rumours of a divide amongst the co-stars. Since Schnapp served as best man at Brown's wedding, this could be the reason why he skipped Hawke's wedding. Schnapp was also reportedly snubbed by Matarazzo, Wolfhard, and McLaughlin when they appeared on 'Saturday Night Live'.
