Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth moving to Australia as wedding rumours swirl – report

Rumours of an Australian wedding had surfaced earlier suggesting that pop couple Miley Cyrus and her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth might be tying the knot in a ceremony down under. Although the much-anticipated wedding never came through, the couple is now rumoured to be shifting to the beach country amid reports of top-secret nuptials.

According to a report by Woman's Day (via Daily Mail), the 24-year-old singer has been approached by the producers of The Voice to star in the Australian edition of the show. After her successful stint in this season of the show alongside Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Alicia Keys, Cyrus is believed to be strongly considering her options down under.

And if it is any solace, the pop star's 26-year-old boyfriend might also find himself spending time in Australia next year, as per the report. As it turns out, Hemsworth has allegedly signed up for two projects, which will be shot in his native place over the course of next one year.

While it's a fairy-tale situation for the couple, the news should be taken with a pinch of salt as no formal announcements have been made yet.

This is, however, not the first time that gossip reports have speculated a move for the couple from Los Angeles. Earlier the A-lister duo had sparked rumours of a "beach" ceremony when they spent time bonding with Hemsworth's family in Australia. So much so, that rumour mills speculated a wedding over the past summer, with every details including Cyrus' outfit and the theme colour being discussed.

Byron Bay in Australia is already home to the Hunger Games actor's elder brother Chris Hemsworth and his family, and following the wedding talks, reports also suggested that the Wrecking Ball singer might permanently shift her base.

"Liam is [convincing] Miley to move permanently to Byron Bay [in the Australian state of New South Wales] — she loves the idea," a source claimed earlier adding, "Byron Bay is beautiful, comfortable and private, and it has a strong hippy vibe/community, which Miley loves".
