Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are preparing to tie the knot this summer, it has been reported. The wedding rumours have been circulating for a while after the A-list couple were recently spotted in Australia bonding with Liam's family.

It was reported that they were checking out possible wedding venues adding to speculation that they are planning a summer wedding Down Under. "They were discussing potential venues and looking around," a source told Us Weekly at the time. Well, apparently it's now official.

"They're getting married on the beach," a source told US Weekly, adding that they "will have help planning the event. Their parents are doing most of the work. It's been easy".

The former Disney star, who is known for her outrageous on-stage antics, is reportedly planning a Coachella inspired beach wedding with a carnival atmosphere. And not one to do things by halves, the 23-year-old will have no less than five wedding dresses on her big day, created by French designer Simon Jacquemus.

A source told Us Weekly that: "Simon is going to help Miley create a series of quirky outfits. She says there will be five outfit changes throughout the day and pink will definitely be a running theme."

While Miley and Liam have been tight-lipped about their forthcoming nuptials, it seems there is a lot of wedding talk in the family. The Wrecking Ball singer's father, Billy Ray Cyrus, recently opened up about his daughter's wedding explaining that he would be ready to take on any role required on the day.

"If any of my kids decide that they are gonna have a wedding of any kind, whatever role they want me to play, I will be there, you know what I mean?" said Cyrus. "They want me to be the butler — that's fine. Whatever they choose. I might make a good preacher.

"Here's what I do know,' he said. 'They're so happy. That's the main thing. Miley and I, we always had this slogan—If you ain't happy, it ain't working."'

Romance first blossomed between the pair in 2009 when they starred together in The Last Song. After a much publicized split and a broken engagement in 2013, they rekindled their relationship in 2015, sparking rumours that they had secretly tied the knot during the Christmas holidays. The pair is now said to have set up home together in Malibu.

The couple's relationship status has been the focus of ongoing speculation after Miley was seen flashing her engagement ring. And while The Hunger Games actor has repeatedly denied reports that he is engaged to the former Disney star, he has finally admitted that he is in a committed relationship with Miley.

In an interview with GQ Australia magazine this month, the 26-year-old said there was no point in hiding how he feels about the controversial singer. "... people will figure it out, they already have ... They're not dumb," he said.

And while it certainly sounds like there's a wedding on the cards, the would-be bride and groom are yet to make an official announcement.
