A woman has died after she fell into a tank of molten chocolate at a factory near Moscow. Svetlana Roslina, 24, was killed in the tragic accident at the Sergiev-Posad confectionery plant in Fedortsovo where she worked.

There are however, conflicting reports about how she died. One eyewitness at the factory reported that she dropped her mobile phone into the vat of chocolate and reached in to retrieve it, but fell in and was unable to pull herself out.

Another local source claimed she fell in while emptying a sack of ingredients into the giant mixer. "The girl was dragged in when she was trying to empty a sack," said the source. Describing the grisly scene, the source added "she was minced, only her legs were left."

A local resident reported seeing a hearse arrive at the plant after the accident. "A young woman died at the confectionery plant in Fedortsovo. I live here and can see the plant out of my window," she told Mail Online. "At 6pm there were police cars and a hearse.

"People are saying that she dropped her phone in the tank and tried to get it but was dragged in there. Witnesses say that only her legs were sticking out."

Roslina leaves behind her husband Vladimir, and two children both under the age of five. Russian police are investigating the circumstances of the young woman's death, the Telegraph reported.
