Motorola Moto X 2015 set for launch

New images of the purported Moto X (2015) have surfaced, with pictures indicating the presence of a front-facing LED flash.

The feature should make it easier for users to capture selfies even at night. The newly surfaced images also hint at a rear camera with dual LED-flash.

These images, courtesy of Peru Android on Facebook, add credence to the fact that Moto X 2015 will be a high-end smartphone.

As per a PhoneArena report, there would be two Moto X smartphone variants, one with a 5.7in screen and another with 5.2in.

Moto X 2015 is also said to feature a fingerprint sensor, a feature first introduced by Apple in iPhone 5s.

Moto X 2015 is expected to be launched with the following features:

  • Android 5.1 (Lollipop) operating system
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon hexa-core processor
  • 4GB RAM
  • Fixed 32/64GB internal storage options
  • 16MP rear camera
  • 5MP front camera
  • 3,280 mAh battery

Motorola is holding a media event on 28 July in London with the Moto X 2015 and the Moto G 2015 expected to be launched.

A SIM-free variant of the smartphone should cost between £400 and £500 when it hits stores in August.
