Nancy Guthrie, the mother of television personality Savannah Guthrie, has been missing for an entire week. During this time, multiple demands for ransom have been made public by her abductors, and Savannah and her siblings have been responding publicly to whoever kidnapped their mother.

The motive for Nancy's abduction remains unclear. However, fears for her safety continue to loom due to her health issues. Nancy is 84 years old and requires her daily medications. As a result, Savannah and her siblings continue to go out of their way to try and bring Nancy back home.

Emotional Video Full of Hope

Today, Savannah released a new video pleading for the public's help in finding her mother. The former 'Today' news anchor said that they are at an hour of desperation since their time to provide the ransom demanded by Nancy's abductors is coming to an end. Previously, Savannah told the kidnappers that she and her siblings will produce the amount that they are demanding from their family.

In her latest video, Savannah also took the time to thank those who have been showering her family with love and support during such a difficult time. She urged everyone to remain vigilant in finding clues and information that could lead them to where Nancy is. Despite everything that has happened, Savannah remains confident that her mother is alive.

The Search for Nancy's Abductor

According to Page Six, Nancy's abductor may have just revealed their identity following the release of a ransom note. The note includes a Bitcoin address where the $6 million (£4.7 million) in bitcoins that they are demanding from the Guthrie family should be sent.

An expert told the publication that the abductor's address could already be traced with the right resources. 'Whenever cyber criminals offer their wallet address is where they basically reveal themselves in many ways,' Bezalel Eithan Raviv, the CEO and founder of Lionsgate Network, said.

Motive Remains Unclear

The real motive for Nancy's kidnapping remains unclear. Last week, a statement was released by the Pima County Sheriff's Department confirming that no persons of interest have been named. They also said that no vehicles have been identified.

Following her disappearance, some rumours were debunked by authorities. This includes claims that Nancy may have wandered out of her home alone because of dementia. However, they confirmed that despite her age, Nancy is of sound mind and has not been diagnosed with a neurological condition.

Timeline of Nancy's Disappearance

Reports revealed that Nancy visited her daughter's home on the last Saturday of January. On that same night, someone took her home. Hours later, Nancy's doorbell camera got disconnected, and a few minutes later, movement was detected from her house. However, the footage could not be retrieved.

At around 2:28 am, Nancy's pacemaker reportedly got disconnected from the app. A day later, friends of Nancy were expecting to see her in church, but she didn't make it. This raised alarm bells amongst her concerned friends.

Authorities later revealed that there was some blood spatter on the front porch of Nancy's home and that it belonged to her.
