This Is Us
NBC's new show for the fall: This Is Us NBC

NBC recently unveiled its list of fall shows for the TV season of 2016-2017. While the channel shifted the season's breakout crime drama Blindspot, to a tougher time-slot, on a whole NBC added only three new shows to its fall shows list.

To replace Blindspot on the coveted spot of Mondat-at-10, a new time-travel thriller Timeless, has been added to the slot. "It's one of the most high-octane fun shows we could have following The Voice," said NBC Chairman Robert Greenblatt. Apart from the sci-fi thriller, NBC is also giving a try to comedy, with new show The Good Place on Thursday nights.

"We've been working on Thursdays for the last couple years to get back what NBC used to have on that night," Greenblatt added.

Apart from these two shows, NBC has also added a new dramedy, This Is Us, to its fall schedule. According to a Deadline report, the trailer of this new dramedy received 15 million views on Facebook in around 48 hours.

Amid some major cancellations by NBC – Mysteries Of Laura, Telenovela, Crowded, Game Of Silence – the network's new line-up looks promising.

This Is Us (Tuesday 9-10 pm)

About the show:

"Sometimes life will surprise you. Starring Mandy Moore ("A Walk to Remember"), Milo Ventimiglia ("Heroes," "Gilmore Girls") and Sterling K Brown ("The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story") this refreshingly honest and provocative series follows a unique ensemble. And as their paths cross and their life stories intertwine in curious ways, we find that several of them share the same birthday - and so much more than anyone would expect. From the writer and directors of "Crazy, Stupid, Love" comes a smart, modern dramedy that will challenge your everyday presumptions about the people you think you know."

Timeless (Monday 10-11 pm)

About the show:

"From Eric Kripke ("Revolution," "Supernatural"), Shawn Ryan ("The Shield") and the producers of "The Blacklist" comes this thrilling action-adventure series in which a mysterious criminal steals a secret state-of-the-art time machine, intent on destroying America as we know it by changing the past. Our only hope is an unexpected team: a scientist, a soldier and a history professor, who must use the machine's prototype to travel back in time to critical events. While they must make every effort not to affect the past themselves, they must also stay one step ahead of this dangerous fugitive. But can this handpicked team uncover the mystery behind it all and end his destruction before it's too late?"

The Good Place (Thursday 8.30-9 pm)

About the show:

"From Michael Schur, executive producer of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" and "Parks and Recreation," comes a smart, unique new comedy that follows Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell, "House of Lies," "Veronica Mars"), an ordinary woman who, through an extraordinary string of events, enters the afterlife where she comes to realize that she hasn't been a very good person. With the help of her wise afterlife mentor (Ted Danson, "Bored to Death," "Cheers"), she's determined to shed her old way of living and discover the awesome (or at least the pretty good) person within. Directed by Drew Goddard, the Oscar®-nominated writer of 'The Martian.'"
