Overview

England sealed the T20 series after winning the second match by three runs on 27 November. After a disappointing time in the Test series, the Three Lions bounced back to win the One Day International and the T20 series.

England won the toss and Eoin Morgan elected to bat first. Their decision paid off as they got to a good start. There was no explosive batting from England, but they made sure the score board kept ticking, which resulted in them positing a total of 172 runs for the loss of eight wickets.

In reply, Pakistan also got to a good start as their top four batsmen cumulatively scored over 100 runs. However, following their departure, Pakistan saw a sudden collapse in their batting as wickets fell at regular intervals.

Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi's quick knock of 24 runs off eight deliveries down the order fell short as England managed a victory to seal the series. The final T20 match will be a dead rubber, but the English side will be hoping for a whitewash.
