Pokemon Ruby Sapphire
Nintendo

There is finally some new Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire footage in town, thanks to this video below.

Considering that there has been a strong amount of anticipation to these games ever since the originals were released, we are surprised that its developers are not going full swing with the promotion.

The new footage confirms and highlights several things, namely the remakes that keep the split storylines of the original Ruby and Sapphire, instead of consolidating them. They also shed light on what the map of Hoenn will look like.

However, the highlight of the video happens to be the wonderful mega evolutions on show, all of which should get the trainer in you excited and jumping.

Watching the three starter Pokemon (Mudkip, Torchic and Trecko) in their final and mega evolved forms should serve as quite a treat and keep you excited for the games. However, the most exciting visual was that of the discovery of the Mega Diancie.

Previously, the game's developers released an exciting video that showed the game's legendaries in action.

The release date for Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire on 3DS and 2DS is 21 November. As mentioned previously, they are "fresh takes" on Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, which were originally launched for Nintendo's Game Boy Advance console back in 2003.

Original Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire

Even though they were commercial successes, Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire sold less than previous generations of Pokemon games as the franchise's popularity was on the decline at that time. Despite this, they managed to become the best-selling games for Nintendo's Game Boy Advance.
