Mobile chipset manufacturer Qualcomm has teased via a tweet that a new smartphone powered with its Snapdragon 800 will be launching at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, taking place from 6 - 9 January.

The Snapdragon 800 mentioned in the tweet could refer to a new entrant in the range of 800 series chipsets.

The tweet was accompanied by a photo (above) showing the rear side of a mysterious smartphone. It is reminisce of the rear-mounted volume rocker on the original G Flex.

Although there is no official word so far, this could be the sequel to LG's G Flex, dubbed the G Flex 2, speculates Phandroid. Tying into this, LG had earlier been rumoured to launch their next-gen G Flex at CES 2015.

Android Authority, quoting sources close to the matter, reported that LG G Flex 2 will bring significant improvements over its predecessor, such as an OLED screen with full HD resolution.
