Overview

Nadal raced into the second round by easily cruising past veteran wildcard entrant Robby Ginepri on Monday. The 27-year-old Spaniard needed 102 minutes to register a, 6-0, 6-3, 6-0, victory, which saw him drop just three points in the second set.

Thiem on the other hand was made to sweat for 128 minutes by Paul-Henri Mathieu but the Austrian emerged on top in straight sets with a, 6-4, 7-6 (3), 6-2, victory.

The winner of this clash will face the winner between Leonardo Mayer and Teymuraz Gabashvili in the round of 32.
