Following a 1:21 p.m. call on Sunday, Los Angeles officers arrived at the scene and immediately apprehended the individual, according to a California Post statement from a spokesperson. Reports indicate that a single round struck the residence and passed through an exterior wall.
Motive Remains A Mystery
Officials are currently investigating the reason behind the attack. A contact informed the Post that A$AP Rocky and Rihanna remain unaware of any specific cause and 'don't know much' regarding the motive. Images captured at the location show yellow tape surrounding the artist's residence, while Los Angeles police blocked access to the nearby road.
Rihanna was at her residence during the event, though a source close to the family assured the Post that 'they are all doing okay.' Police Sgt. Jonathan de Vera, a representative for the Los Angeles Police Department, confirmed to the Los Angeles Times that the shooting left no one hurt. According to the publication, emergency dispatchers recorded roughly 10 rounds being aimed at the property from a car parked on the opposite side of the road.
High-Speed Escape And Arrest
Reports from the emergency dispatch show that a car positioned near the estate's entrance targeted the home with gunfire. The driver then escaped in a white Tesla, with audio from the scene tracking the vehicle as it headed south on Coldwater Canyon Drive.

Officers apprehended the individual in a Sherman Oaks shopping centre car park just minutes after the emergency call, according to the Los Angeles Times. While the publication identifies the suspect as a 30-year-old woman, various other news sources report her age as being in her 30s.
Witnesses Describe The Scene
Residents in the area reported hearing the gunfire as it happened. 'I was just washing dishes in my house, and I heard shots,' Isabel Thorne told the Post. 'I was a little shocked. You know, we don't hear that kind of thing in this neighborhood.'
'It's pretty quiet. It sounded just like a loud pop. So we're kind of shocked. I don't know what to think. I just heard, like, one shot. It was really loud, and everything echoes in this valley, so you can hear everything out here. Even when someone has a party, you can hear the music, you know, a shot. It's not something you expect,' Thorne added.
'We have a neighborhood chat, so everybody started hearing the police scanners saying there was gunshots,' she told the Post. 'There's always these tour buses coming up and down, so everybody here knows that Rihanna lives there.'
'Nobody should have to deal with being in fear in your own home. I see people going in and out, but the street is pretty quiet. You know, it's just LA. Unfortunately, it's become something that's normal,' Thorne said.
Family Safety And Investigation
The artist reportedly stays in a colonial-style Beverly Hills home within the Post Office area alongside her husband, rapper A$AP Rocky. Although the couple share three children—three-year-old RZA, two-year-old Riot Rose, and five-month-old Rocki Irish Mayers—neither has made a public statement regarding the shooting.
It remains uncertain if any other individuals were on the property during the gunfire. Los Angeles police confirmed that detectives from the Robbery-Homicide Division are taking over the investigation.
