Rihanna and A$AP Rocky Married? Singer Further Fuels Marriage Rumours in New York Valentine's Day Date

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky further fuelled ongoing speculation that the couple are actually married now as they were seen on a Valentine's Day date night in New York. The speculation has stemmed from separate instances, most notably in public comments revealing how they refer to each other.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky on Saturday enjoyed a Valentine's Day night out in New York as they were spotted arriving at Caviar Russe. The couple were bundled up for the cold weather, with the rapper, whose real name is Rakim Athelaston Meyers, holding a Louis Vuitton gift-wrapped box. Their latest outing comes amid ongoing speculation that they have secretly tied the knot, though they have not publicly commented on their relationship status.

Relationship Timeline

The couple have been together since 2020 and share three children, their youngest being five months old. When Meyers was asked if he looks forward to becoming a husband, he responded, 'How you know I'm not already a husband?' He added that he was still not going to confirm anything.

Marriage Rumours

The rumours of their possible marriage go back as far as 2022, when they teased that they potentially said 'I do' in the rapper's 'DMB' music video. The couple acted out a wedding ceremony where the singer appeared in a red wedding dress and veil, while the rapper had gold grills which said 'Marry Me' and she wore a matching set that read, 'I do'.

In 2025, the couple further fuelled the rumours in how they referred to each other, with Rihanna calling the rapper her 'loving husband' while he in turn called her his 'wife'. Rihanna has also been seen wearing a gold ring on her wedding ring finger in several outings.

'Being a father and a partner and a loving husband in my family is what makes me really, really happy', said Rocky in an October interview with Perfect Magazine. 'That's what honestly does get me going – being able to express myself creatively, being able to be a family man and being able to be an artisan.'

Fashionably Late

Rihanna recently showed up fashionably late to the rapper's fashion show as part of New York Fashion Week. She was seen entering backstage to surprise her beau, and was later seen sitting in the front row. The show that happened on Friday, 13 February, also happened to be the third presentation of the rapper's fashion brand, AWGE.

'I wanted to break the fourth wall, I guess that's why y'all see us getting ready, the imperfections. There was so much that went wrong live, but it was like f-k it, that's what makes the show all the merrier. It's better', said Rocky after the show wrapped.

Back in January, during an appearance on 'The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon', Rocky shared how he and Rihanna first met. He shared that she met him for the first time just when he was not at his best. However, it seemed that Rihanna did not hold that against him, especially by the time they started dating years later.

'We met outside of a nightclub, ironically, here in New York', said Rocky. 'I wasn't famous at the time–she was obviously Rihanna–and I couldn't get in. The bouncers didn't want to let me in.'

'I was with my friends, the late, great Virgil Abloh and Matthew Williams, and we kinda was getting into it with the bouncers, and she came out and we locked eyes right away. I was just like, in a daze', Rocky continued. 'And I was a little embarrassed that she caught me bickering with the guard.'

When asked if Rihanna helped him get in, he said no, followed with a laugh.
