Robert Pattinson's Partner Hospitalised With A Hernia: Suki Waterhouse Shares The Surprising Thing That Caused It

Hernias can be a bit embarrassing to talk about, especially due to where they're most commonly located on the body.

They occur when fatty tissue or your bowel or other organs protrude through, most commonly into your groin at the top of your inner thigh.

This appears to be the case for Suki Waterhouse, who admitted to fans she'd taken a step back from social media due to a hernia she'd developed.

Beyond her own success as a singer and actress, Waterhouse has been an apple of the public eye in recent years due to her relationship with Robert Pattinson. The celebrity power couple welcomed their first child back in March 2024.

Fans noticed the 'Daisy Jones and the Six' actress hadn't been posting as regularly on her social accounts lately, something Waterhouse has put down to her hernia, the cause of which may surprise you.

Waterhouse Reveals What Caused Her Hernia

Waterhouse took to X on 14 July to share why she'd stopped posting so much online.

'"suki you never tweet anymore" have you ever considered I wore pants so tight 6 months ago it caused a hernia & I've been too scared to tell you,' she wrote.

Along with the caption, she shared a photo of the culprit–a pair of dark leather pants the 'Good Looking' singer wore on stage along with a white crop top and duster.

Tight-fitting clothing can't directly cause a hernia but it can increase the risk of developing one. Tight pants or belts push against the abdomen. Frequent pressure from wearing tight clothing on a daily basis increases the risk of a hernia.

Fans Criticise Singer For Vaping In Hospital

A photo of Waterhouse lying in a hospital bed accompanied the photo of her pants. Fans were quick to comment on the vape seen resting on her chest.

'Vape in the hospital is diabolical,' one fan commented to which Waterhouse replied, 'so true.'

'the vape in a hospital bed... you're a 33 yo woman,' someone wrote.

'Why are we vaping in a hospital bed,' another asked.

Are Waterhouse and Robert Pattinson Married?

The celebrity couple have kept their relationship incredibly private, and may even be married, despite no announcement being made.

Waterhouse was first seen on a date with the big-screen actor back in 2018 leaving a London movie theatre.

The couple confirmed their relationship in 2019 but said they wanted to keep it under wraps. 'If you let people in, it devalues what love is,' Pattinson told The Sunday Times back then.

In 2023, Waterhouse announced her pregnancy, which was closely followed by her engagement to Pattinson, according to a source.

They welcomed their daughter in March 2024 and Waterhouse appeared on the cover of British Vogue with her in July of that year.

She told British Vogue that Pattinson had been a huge help to her through early motherhood.

'He was there with me and like all dads, he was really nervous,' she said, adding, 'But for someone who's quite an anxious person, he's been very calm.'

Waterhouse referred to him as 'the dad I could have hoped for.'

No announcements have been made about the couple's marital status, but rumours began circulating that the couple had a secret wedding in the Caribbean on New Year's Eve, a move that would be very on brand for the couple's private relationship.
