There has been a shortage of rumours regarding the probable release date of Samsung's next-gen Galaxy S smartphone - the Galaxy S3.

The latest rumour suggests the phone is to launch, in the UK, on 30 March and this is as a result of the Phones 4U store on Oxford Street, has reportedly placed a huge advertisement with the words - "Coming 30/3/2012" and the Samsung logo.

Release Dates Rumor:

The Samsung Galaxy S3, the third handset in the Galaxy S series, was expected to launch in April or May. Kim Young-Ha, the Senior Vice-President of Samsung China, was believed to have said the company was considering shifting the event to April, from May, according to an earlier report.

The phone was also reportedly ready to be unveiled at the 2012 Mobile World Congress. However, there were the more reports, this time from the company itself, that negated any such hopes.

"Samsung is looking forward to introducing and demonstrating exciting new mobile products at Mobile World Congress 2012. The successor to the GALAXY S II smartphone will be unveiled at a separate Samsung-hosted event in the first half of the year, closer to commercial availability of the product," a company spokesperson said to T3.

However, a later report, complete with supposed press-ready images of the S3, countered the April release possibility with "strong" evidence that the phone would be released on 22 May and the supposed fact the event would happen in London.

Meanwhile yet another report then surfaced, stating that even though leaked information suggested the release was on 22 May, Samsung were still exploring the possibility of the Galaxy S3 hitting the shelves only in April.

Finally, according to another report, the Galaxy S3 was expected to be released on 22 March - which was the Angry Bird Space launch event. However a Samsung representative is believed to have denied the Angry Birds connection with the S3 release date.
