She is the golden girl of the music scene and her birthday celebrations were a suitably starry affair.

The Shake It Off singer's 25th birthday party read like a who's who of the music industry.

Organising a pizza party for her famous friends, the exclusive guest list included music power couple Beyonce and husband Jay Z, Justin Timberlake, British singing sensation Sam Smith, actress Emma Roberts, Charli XCX, E! Entertainment host Kelly Osbourne, Chrissy Teigen, Jaime King and Nick Jonas and his girlfriend Olivia Culpo.

The celebrities converged on Swift's swanky New York apartment for a more casual gathering than you might expect from the A listers.

The VIP's dined on takeaway pizza, getting through twenty boxes between them.

The ever stylish birthday girl kept it comfortable matching a tartan crop top with matching high-waisted trousers, and a fitted black jacket.

Swift shared a snapshot of her celebrations with her famous friends on Instagram in which she was seen wearing a Santa hat and flanked by Justin Timberlake and Sam Smith.

"So this is being 25..... #WHAT #bestbirthdayEVER," she wrote in the caption.

Swift forged a friendship with Beyonce in 2009 after the superstar intervened at the MTV music awards when Kanye West famously stormed the stage ruining the country singer's moment. Swift was about to give an acceptance speech after winning her first VMA for the Best Female Video for You Belong To Me, when West launched into an embarrassing rant claiming the award should have gone to Beyonce for Single Ladies.

The Halo singer was horrified and ensured that Swift had a her moment calling her on stage to receive her award as she should have.

Unsurprisingly there was no sign of her ex boyfriends such as Harry Styles, with the US star happily declaring her single status.

Earlier the singer Taylor performed on stage at the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball concert at the Big Apple's Madison Square Garden for an audience of 18000.

"I think I've officially celebrated my birthday with you tonight. I'm 25-years-old New York City," she announced.
