The 10th Annual TV Land awards saw the biggest stars of television and music come together on 14 April, at the Lexington Avenue Armoury in New York. The highlight of the awards show was Jim Carrey's reunion with the cast of "In Living Colour", including Wayans brothers, to accept the Groundbreaking Award from Whoopi Goldberg. It is the first time the cast has met up since 1994 when the show was last aired.

The show was hosted by TV personality Kelly Ripa who changed her costume 13 times during the awards ceremony. She appeared once dressed as Catwoman and came down on to the stage from the ceiling. According to Contact Music, soul queen Arethra Franklin was feted with the Music Icon Award and was serenaded by John Legend. "The Respect" hit maker also performed four of her hits.

Later in the evening, "Murphy Brown" co-star Faith Ford danced like her alter ego - Corky - on the show and Carrey gave a heartfelt speech when accepting his award, according to Hollywood Reporter.
