Was Bad Bunny Wearing a Bulletproof Vest During Super Bowl Half-Time Performance? Here's the Truth
Bad Bunny sparked rumours he wore a bulletproof vest during his Super Bowl half-time show performance

The neon lights of Levi's Stadium had barely dimmed before a digital firestorm erupted across social media platforms. As Bad Bunny concluded his historic Super Bowl LX half-time set, thousands of viewers shifted their gaze to his outfit, many speculating that he was wearing a bulletproof vest beneath it.
According to some social media users, there were threats against the Grammy winner, so he had to take precautions during his performance. However, a closer look would reveal that it wasn't the first time Bad Bunny had been rumoured to wear tactical body armour during his outings. But are these claims true?
'Sad If True'
The rumour mill began churning almost instantly on X (formerly known as Twitter) while Bad Bunny was still on stage for his Super Bowl halftime set. Eagle-eyed viewers noticed his boxy and rigid appearance.
The 'Me Porto Bonito' singer wore an all-white outfit for his performance. However, the broad-shoulder design was noticeable, and his mid-section appeared bulky, sparking rumours that he was wearing a bulletproof vest during the set.
'Does it appear to anyone else that Bad Bunny is wearing a bullet proof vest? Sad if true,' one asked. Another claimed that he was indeed wearing a bulletproof vest and 'purposely didn't sit next to his family,' probably to keep them away from danger.
'What the f*** is happening?' another commenter wrote.
Another said that it was 'ridiculous' that the singer had to wear a bulletproof vest.

Ummm Bad Bunny apparently wore a bullet proof vest and purposefully didn’t sit next to his family. What the fuck is happening

The discussion immediately went viral, with some speculating that he was probably wearing one due to the current political climate. Bad Bunny is known for being outspoken about current events, including the issues involving the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement. For instance, in his acceptance speech at the Grammy Awards after winning the Best Música Urbana Album, he said, 'Before I say thanks to God, I'm gonna say: ICE out!'
Why The Tactical Gear Rumours Are Baseless
Despite the viral frenzy, there is no evidence to suggest that Bad Bunny was wearing a bulletproof vest during the performance. One should take those claims with a grain of salt.
First, neither Bad Bunny nor any member of his team has confirmed that he wore one. Second, no major outlet or reputable sources reported on the use of a bulletproof vest during the event.
Also, this isn't the first time Bad Bunny was rumoured to be wearing tactical gear. When he appeared at the Grammy Awards ceremony on 1 February, some fans made the same claim. However, Vogue's video featuring Bad Bunny getting ready for the event made it clear that his Schiaparelli tailored suit was perfectly fitted, leaving no room for a bulletproof vest, Vanity Fair reported.
More likely, the same can be said during his Super Bowl halftime performance. Bad Bunny wasn't wearing a bulletproof vest.
Debunking The Appearance Of Detained Liam Ramos
Beyond the wardrobe controversy, there were also speculations that the child who appeared during his performance was Liam Conejo Ramos, the five-year-old child who was detained by federal agents. Liam's story went viral because many were moved by the sight of a child in a Spider-Man backpack seized by ICE agents.
During Bad Bunny's performance, a child about the same age as Liam is watching a television with footage of Bad Bunny from the Grammys. Then, the singer approached the boy and handed him the trophy. Many immediately claimed the boy was Liam.
Many of you may have missed this, but the little boy who Bad Bunny handed his Grammy to at the Super Bowl was Liam Ramos!

However, TMZ quickly debunked the theory. The child was actually a professional actor and model named Lincoln Fox. Lincoln confirmed this by sharing photos of himself with Bad Bunny during their performance on Instagram.
